International Railway Industry Standard

FIP has obtained
IRIS certification

FRÄNKISCHE Industrial Pipes (FIP) complies with the high quality requirements of the
International Railway Industry Standards IRIS.

With the IRIS certification, FIP fulfills the prerequisites to become an officially approved supplier in the field of railroad engineering. FRÄNKISCHE Industrial Pipes has successfully completed the audit and achieved very good results in all the assessed areas.

The International Railway Industry Standard (IRIS) offers to the suppliers of the railroad industry a uniform quality guideline, and stipulates specialized requirements on documentation of test certification and traceability. IRIS is based on the international quality standard ISO 9001; it is similar to the ISO/TS 16949 standard applicable in the automobile industry, with additional requirements specific to the railroad industry. It defines particularly stringent demands on business processes the railroad industry is bound to comply with. Particularly to assure railroad-specific life cycles, i.e. availability of products of well over 30 years.

“This milestone opens up possibilities of expanding both the railroad market and groups of customers, as well as of developing new ones. The certification confirms consistent implementation and fulfillment of the stringent demands of railroad engineering. It emphasizes both reliability and high quality standards of our products and processes,” says Andy Girola, Managing Director International FRÄNKISCHE Cable Management.

The German company FRÄNKISCHE Industrial Pipes PIPES has set its sights on making the world of cable protection simpler. The FIPSYSTEMS range of products covers a wide variety of cable protection applications, including corrugated conduits, fabric and knitted hoses, and matching accessories.

The new, unique FIPLOCK ONE threaded connector covers all applications with the IP protection requirements of IP66, 67, 68 and even 69K. The new, high-quality FIP corrugated conduit connection simplifies connection technology. With different IP protection classes, respective connections are often offered for different corrugated conduits; FIPLOCK ONE now combines all protection classes for industrial applications with their manifold requirements.

FIP corrugated conduits are available in various material qualities depending on the requirements, and offer solutions to virtually any challenge in railroad-specific fields of cable protection.
